PEACE RALLY
The Village of Riverdale and the Pacesetter Community announce a Peace Rally on Thursday, September 27, 2012. The Peace Walk begins at 5:00 p.m. in the Pacesetter Community on 136th and Eggleston in Riverdale. (Meet at this location in order to walk with us!!)

Peace Rally will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at General George S. Patton School located at 13700 S. Stewart Ave. in Riverdale. (Meet at this location if you do not want to walk!)

Join hands with us as we heal our community and make a brighter future for our families!!

ANNUAL VILLAGE-WIDE ALLEY CLEAN-UP DAY!
The Village of Riverdale will sponsor Riverdale's annual Village-Wide Alley Clean-Up Day on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Please have all items out by 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012!

Limited Garbage Bags are available. HAZARDOUS WASTE ITEMS AND ELECTRONICS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP!!!

This will be the last Village-sponsored Clean-up Day for 2012 so be sure to participate on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

CALUMET STEWARDSHIP VOLUNTEER POTLUCK & PRAIRIE SEED COLLECTING WORKSHOP
Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kickapoo Forest Preserve.

Seed Collecting Workshop 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Come learn about native prairie seed collection and connect with other regular volunteers in the Calumet region. Tour the Kickapoo Prairie. Gloves and beverages provided. Wear work clothes that can get dirty, work boots, and bring a water bottle.

Potluck & Social 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please bring a potluck dish. We'll celebrate accomplishements & share what's happenng at the natural areas where we all work.

Where to meet:  At Kickapoo Forest Preserve. Kickapoo is located at 144th and Halsted in Riverdale. Park int he Thornton Township Municipal Building (Halsted and 144th St.) and meet at the entrane to the prairie site that is direclty west and across the street from the parking lot in Riverdale.
