VILLAGE HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY
The Village of Riverdale invites you to a Holiday Giveaway sponsored by the United Way on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Riverdale Resource Center located at 13725 S. Wabash in Riverdale.
Food and clothing will be distributed to families in need. To participate: Bring Photo I.D. and proof of Riverdale residency AND Statement of unemployment benefits; Medicaid card; or Social Security Disability Statement.

LIBRARY HOLIDAY CLOSINGS
The library will be closed Thursday, December 23, 2010 through Sunday, December 26, 2010 for the Christmas Holiday and Thursday, December 30, 2010 through Sunday, January 2, 2011 for New Years.

Come have brunch with Kris Kringle on December 18, 2010 at the following locations: Ivanhoe Park Fieldhouse located at 144th and Stewart from Noon - 1:30pm or at the Ivanhoe Recreation Center located at 137th & Eggleston from 2:00pm - 3:30 pm. Snacks, music and a toy raffle will be included. Pictures with Kris Kringle will be $2.00.

ATTENTION RIVERDALE METRA RIDERS!
Effective December 20, 2010, the new Metra Pay Boxes will not longer accept cash. You must purchase tokens available at the Village Hall located at 157 W. 144th Street during the following hours: Mon-Wed-Thurs-Fri from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm or Tue from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm or at the Riverdale Police Department located at 725 W. 138th Street. Token may be purchased at the Police Department at any time.

The Village of Riverdale welcomes all children and families to attend the Riverdale Holiday "Fun" Festival to be held on Thursday, December 9, 2010. The event will be held at the Riverdale Public Safety Building located at 725 W. 138th Street from 4 to 6 p.m. Activities will include Tree Lighting, Decorating, Photos with Santa, Eat cookies and punch with Santa and make Ornaments. Bring your favorite ornament to place on the Christmas Tree or make one at the event instead.
