NEED HELP WITH HOMEWORK? -FOR 3RD - 8TH GRADERS
Come participate in Thornton Township's AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM. The program will be held at the Thornton Township Senior, Youth and Family Services building located at 14323 S. Halsted in Riverdale. The program will run Monday-Thursday from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. from October 4, 2011 - May 17, 2012. No transportation is available.

WHEN ENROLLING YOU MUST HAVE: Parent/Legal guardian, child, Utility Bill (proof of residency), Valid State ID/Driver's License, $25 Cash, and Child's Social Security Card.

HOMEBUYER EDUCATION UPCOMING WORKSHOPS IN RIVERDALE
CEDA's Comprehensive Housing Counciling (CHC) program is to educate, inform, listen and find creative ways to assiste participants in acquiring and maintaining affordable housing. The counceling services are always free. The Riverdale Community Resource Center located at 13725 S. Wabash will hosting to workshops. The first workshop will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The second workshop will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

2nd Annual "Dare To Care" Walk and Ride Rally
Saturday, October 8, 2011. Walk begins at 10:00a.m. from Ivanhoe Park at 14322 Ivanhoe Drive and Ends at the Gazebo in Riverdale Park at 138th and Wentworth.. Registration forms available at the Village Hall (157 W. 144th Street) and at the Riverdale Community Resource Center (13725 S. Wabash). The first 50 people who register will receive a FREE T-shirt.

Please join fellow members of the Riverdale community to address community awareness. Let's see if you "DARE TO CARE" by joining us in this important walk.

THE MALE INITIATIVE PROGRAM
The Village of Riverdale will be hosting The Male Initiative Program: "Men Under Construction" "Spiritually, Emotionally, Physically, and Financially". The guest speakers are Mr. Henry Abraham and Mr. Robert Beck. The program will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Riverdale Community Resource Center located at 13725 S. Wabash in Riverdale.

RIVERDALE PEOPLE'S ACTION CENTER COMMUNITY BABY SHOWER
The Riverdale Peoples Action Center invites you to a Community Baby Shower honoring New Mommies on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Riverdale Resource Center located at 13725 S. Wabash. This event if free. *Participants must be pregnant or have a child under the age of one year-old*. *One guest per participant*.

Their program provides assistance with the following:
*MAC/WIC programs*Emergency Food* Emergency Infant Formula* Emergency Pampers* Car Seats referrals* Maternity/Baby clothing referrals* Transit cards for medical appointments* And much more...
