THORNTON TOWNSHIP PRESENTS "DAY IN THE PARK" FOR FAMILIES LIVING IN RIVERDALE.
The Thornton Township will be hosting a "Day In The Park" for families living in Riverdale on Friday, August 29, 2008 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. This event will be held in the park located at 14400 & Atlantic. Come join us for free games, activities, food! D.J. and music will be provided.

SENIOR HEALTH AND INFORMATION FAIR
The Thornton Township Senior Center located at 1420 Huntington Drive in Calumet City will be hosting a Senior Health and Information Fair on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Services available that day will be: State of Illinois Photo ID card (65 & older - Bring Required Identification), FREE Blood Pressure Glucose Screening (Must Fast for 2 hours), FREE 911 Cell Phone, FREE HIV Testing, Senior's RTA Free Bus Passes and Prostate Testing.

RIVERDALE GIRL SCOUTS - GRADES K - 12th AND ADULT VOLUNTEERS
Girl Scouts provides a positive program created by girls for girls
to have fun while making the world a better place. We have
traditional troops in Riverdale and we are planning to have
"special interest troops" that will focus on specific girl
interests like, basketball, modeling, dance, cooking, going on
field trips only, etc. We are also looking for Adult Volunteers.
