The Greater Chicago Food Depository's Producemobile is coming to Riverdale. 2012 Distributions will be held every Fourth Wednesday of every month starting in February. February 22, March 28, April 25, May 23, June 27, July 25th from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The location will be at Shekinah Chapel located at 13800 S. Wabash Avenue in Riverdale.

IVANHOE PARK DISTRICT OF RIVERDALE YOUTH FITNESS PROGRAM
Registration for this program will be held every Saturday in February 2012. The last day to register is February 25, 2012.

The program is open to Youth Males & Females ages 7-14. The program will be held at the Ivanhoe Park District of Riverdale Field House located at 14401 S. Stewart from 11:00am-2:00pm.

The cost is $15.00 for 4 weeks of Sports Training and Exposure.

IVANHOE PARK DISTRICT OF RIVERDALE FAMILY MARDI GRAS
The Ivanhoe Park District of Riverdael is bringing Mardi Gras to Riverdale. Come out and join your neighbors and friends for the 1st Annual Mardi Gras Parade and Festival. Children are welcome to attend.

Following the parade, warm up with an excellent Cajun meal, (Chicken Gumbo), which will be sold for $2.50 per bowl. There will be crafts for the children and beads galore.

Location: Parade will leave from the Field House (14401 S. Stewart) and travel to the Memorial Building (151 W. 137th St.) This event will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 1pm-3pm.

STATE REP. WILLIAM DAVIS WILL HOST A MEETING WITH RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF RIVERDALE AND CSX TRANSPORTATION

Rep. Davis will host a meeting with representatives from CSX Transportation, the Illinois Commerce Commission, and the village residents to discuss issues pertaining to train traffic and quiet zones in the community. This meeting will give the homeowners an opportunity to ask questions and have a discussion directly with CSX Transportation.

3-ON-3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The Village of Riverdale in conjunction with the Ivanhoe Park District will be hosting a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, June 25, 2011. The tournament will be located at Franson Park, 145th & Atlantic from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This tournament has a wheelchair division & three age Categories: 26 years an up, 18-25 years and Youth to 17 years. Participants under 17 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.

Calling all Girls in Riverdale/Dolton -- Girl Scout Daisys. Come join us for a "Mommy and Me Princess Party." Seniors come out for a fun day of food and baseball. The game will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. The bus departs the Ivanhoe Park Field House at 10:15 a.m. and will arrive back approximately 5:30 p.m. This event is for seniors only. Cost is $55 per person which includes 2 hour pre-game all you can eat buffet, bingo in the patio area, a a lower box game ticket and bus transportation. SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION (IVANHOE PARK DISTRICT OF RIVERDALE)
Registration for Summer Camp will be located at the Riverdale Park Memorial Building located at 151 W. 137th Street and at the Ivanhoe Park Field House located at 144th & Stewart in Riverdale.

Registration at Riverdale Park Memorial Building will be held on May 27th, 29th, June 1st, 3rd, and 5th from 9:00am - 3:30pm at 151 W. 137th Street.

Registration at the Ivanhoe Park Field House will be held on May 26th, 28th, 31st, June 2nd and June 4th from 9:00am - 3:30pm.

Registration Fee: Residents -$20.00 and $25.00 for non-residents. Camp Fee - Residents is $55.00/week for 9:00am - 4:00pm or $65.00/week for 7:00am-6:00pm. Camp Fee for non-residents is $65.00/week for 9:00am-4:00pm or $75.00/week for 7:00am - 6:00pm. Summer School Special: If your child is attending summer school, they can also be in camp from 1:00pm - 6:00pm Monday through Thursday and a full camp day on Friday for only $45.00/week! Child Care Initiative and SOAR accepted.

SIMFA CAMP 2010
Shekinah Chapel located at 13800 S. Wabash in Riverdale will be hosting a camp for kids starting on June 21, 2010 through July 30, 2010. The camp will be held Monday-Friday from 9:00am - 4:00pm and will included Arts & Crafts, Dance, and Weekly Field Trips. The cost is $50.00 a week.

BLOCK vs BLOCK F.O.R.C.E.Teen Basketball Tournament
The (MRF) is now signing up teens in Riverdale age's 13-18 to participate in their first ever village wide Block vs Block teen basketball tournament hosted by the Miracle Rich Foundation. This tournament is organized to promote their SAVE OUR YOUTH CAMPAIGN by allowing teens the opportunity to have a peaceful summer interacting with one another in a competitive sport to direct teens from violence and gang activity in the community.

RIVERDALE'S 2ND CLEANUP DAY.
The Village of Riverdale in cooperation with Tri-State Disposal Inc. will sponsor Riverdale's 2nd Cleanup Day on Saturday, June 12, 2010. Pick up hours are from 6:00AM to 12:00PM. ITEMS MUST BE PLACED IN THE SAME AREA TRI-STATE PICKS UP YOUR WEEKLY GARBAGE. Items should not be placed outside before Friday, June 11, 2010.

Items that WILL BE ACCEPTED for pick up are: furniture, clothing, bicycles, other unwanted household items, white goods such as refrigerators (doors must be removed), stoves, washers and dryers. Items that will NOT BE ACCEPTED for pickup are: tires, batteries, construction materials, and hazardous waste materials (i.e. used oil, paint or chemicals).

THE TRUCKS WILL ONLY MAKE ONE TRIP. Have all unwanted items in your pickup area by 6:00am Saturday.
