The Riverdale Library will be closed on Monday, January 19th in observance of Martin Luther King's Birthday. We will resume our normal business hours on Tuesday.

Tax Service available at the Riverdale Library starting Wednesday, February 4th.
AARP volunteers will assist taxpayers in preparing their returns and answering questions. Tax Service will be available on Wednesdays starting February 4th through April 14th between the hours of Noon-4pm. Assistance is on a first-come-first-served basis with seniors and handicapped persons receiving priority service.

Pet Tags now on sale. All dogs and cats must be registered at the Village Hall each year. Proof of Rabies vaccination must be presented at time of purchase. Tags cost $8.00 each and expire on December 31st of every year. Renewal notices have been mailed.
Village introducing a 50-50 Sidewalk replacement cost-sharing program. Applications will be available after May 1, 2004 at the Village Hall, or call 841-2202 to receive one by mail.
Project ChildSafe. Firearm safety program in place. Limited number of safety kits are available through the Riverdale Police Department. Contact Sgt. John Dempsey, 841-2203, proof of residency required.
Snow Route Enforcement. After 2" of snowfall, vehicles may not be parked along snowroutes. Offenders will be towed.

Voter Registration. Last day for voter registration will be February 17, 2004 at the Village Hall or the Riverdale Public Library.
Village Hall announces Holiday Hours: Offices will be closed on January 1, January 19, and February 16.
Quality of Life Committee. Take pride in your community, join this worthwhile committee. Meetings are the firt Monday of each month, at the Village Hall Conference Room, 6:30 PM.

The Riverdale Chamber presents a joint Installation Dinner with the Dolton Chamber on Saturday, January 31, 2004
This years Installation Dinner will be a joint adventure with the Dolton Chamber of Commerce. The Dinner will have a 1960's theme with attendees encouraged to dress the part. Prizes will be given to the best costumes and best dancers. The Dinner will be held a The Dorchester located at 1515 E. 154th Street in Dolton. Times for the event are as follows:
6:00 PM Cocktails
7:00 PM Dinner Buffet
8:00 PM Installation Ceremony & Awards
9:00 PM - Midnight Twist The Night Away
The cost for this event is $40 per person; $75 per couple; or $300 for a table of 8.
